Awesome news time! These two paintings of oranges and grapes are now hung, and available, in the newly opened Jarva Gallery, in the stunning Crescent, Buxton. Buxton is my home town. I have fond memories of visiting the Crescent as a child with my Gran, when it was the library. I’ve watched, for many years, the restoration that the building has been through. And now, I have paintings hung in this beautiful gallery, very special. Please do visit the gallery if you can, or if you’re interested in purchasing either of the paintings, Lyndsey and Ben will be happy to help.
My little oil painting of Grace, my youngest daughter, has been accepted for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters exhibition 2021. I’m delighted! This exhibition is being held at the beautiful Mall Galleries in central London. It opens on Wednesday 24th November until Sunday 5th December.
I’m THRILLED that my little painting has been awarded an Honorable Mention in America’s Blue Review Art Prize. Message received –
“I wanted to let you know that your Blue Review Art Prize submission received an Honorable Mention!
Congratulations! Out of the over 3,000 submissions, only the top 5% of works were selected for this designation.
While we are only exhibiting work from the top 10 winners in the physical gallery, we would love to include your work in the printed Blue Review Art Prize exhibition catalogue as well as in an online exhibition on Artsy.”
A selection of my paintings are now available at the newly opened Cotswold Contemporary Gallery in Cirencester, including this one below, Gran’s House.
These little paintings, called Blue Willow Still Life and Strawberry Jam are now showing at the beautiful Sinclair Gallery in Rickmansworth, UK
I am DELIGHTED to be able to share with you the news that my Self Portrait is part of the curated Ruth Borchard exhibition showing at the beautiful Coventry Cathedral, opening 17th May and running until 9th July. Information about the exhibition, along with purchase details about the painting, can be found on the Ruth Borchard website https://ruthborchard.org.uk/
This little grape painting has been submitted to the Blue Review Art Exhibition. It’s called Got Any Grapes? Inspired by a VERY repetitive song my children used to listen too! And to go alongside this work is Lemonade Stand (the Duck Song really got to me!)
Some of my paintings, including Hanging Orange and Hanging Chillis, have safely made it to the beautiful Sinclair Gallery in Rickmansworth. With the help of Esther, the gallery owner the little orange has already found a home, thank you! Please take a look at the ‘Miniature/Small Work’ section on my website for details of further work at the gallery, or visit the Sinclair Gallery website directly.
I’m DELIGHTED that my painting – The Artist’s Mother has made it through the first round of judging at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. It still has another round to get through, but currently, it’s nice to enjoy the moment!
I’m inspired by the old masters, so I thought I’d see if I can create a miniature still life in a similar to them. I’ve really enjoyed it and feel a series brewing!
Happy New Year! I’m already busy making plans for my Royal Miniature Society submissions, everything crossed this wonderful exhibition goes ahead as planned this year.
